christmas 2014.
This year has been my first Christmas away from home and has definitely been strange! Although I missed waking up with my family it did get me thinking about starting to make our own Christmas traditions, so many families have certain ways of doing things at Christmas and i'd love to find something special for us. Anybody who has any traditions to share feel free!
Obviously one of the main aspects of Christmas are the presents and, as always, I have been very spoilt by all my loved ones. I started off my day exchanging my gifts with Jake and was completely surprised by them, as well as getting the complete Harry Potter box set on blu-ray I also got tickets to ''The Making Of Harry Potter"tour to go with it! I have been dying to go for so long and am absolutley over the moon about getting tickets :D

back to blogging.
Firstly I would like to apologise for not posting in so long, everything has been so crazy in the past few months, moving house, going on holiday and then christmas has taken its toll and I have just had no time to post!
Obviously being so busy means I have a lot to talk about so over the next few weeks expect to see posts coming up about christmas 2014, our Japanese holiday, moving out and my general out and aboutyness!
I look forward to getting back into it and hope you enjoy my up and coming posts :)

vintage wonderland.
I had the privilege of visiting a gorgeous vintage fair yesterday right here in Bristol! My mum came across an advert for it on facebook and after pointing it out to me I decided straight away that I would be going, it was in The Passenger Shed which is a small little warehouse type building next to Temple Meads train station and was a lovely little venue. We started off rummaging through some clothes rails and within seconds my friend Trudie had found a jacket to purchase, there were so many lovely items but I decided to be good and wait until I we'd looked around a bit more before buying.

tangle troubles.
I don't really like writing 'bad reviews' as I feel everyone has their own opinions and experiences of different products but unfortunately I feel like I have to write one regarding this product. Anyone who knows me, or has stalked my instagram or twitter will know that I have crazy frizzy/curly hair and it is just completely out of control unless I straighten it, so when I heard about the 'tangle teezer' I thought it would be a god send if it worked.

winter warmers.
As much as I love the heat in the summer autumn has got to
be my favourite season and now we are officially in it I have started to buy my
autumn/winter clothes. I’m not really sure what kind of winter style I’m going
for this year, normally it’s just massive jumpers and boots, but I have got a
thing for colourful tights at the moment and am trying to incorporate them more
in to my style.

room changes.
Sorry I haven't been posting that much lately, I am now working two jobs and alongside that have been trying to spend a bit more time with my friends and fella so haven't been at my computer much! I did, however, have a bit of spare time today so after wrapping up some presents ready for my lovely mamma's birthday next week and sorting out my wardrobe I decided to have a change around in my room. I've never really changed my room before, it's been decorated as i've grown up and a few years ago when we were doing building work it got completely re-done but i've always basically kept it the same, until today! I saw a beautiful bedding set in asda: george home and just had to buy it, I put it on and then started thinking if there was anything else I could do to give my room a bit of a 'fresh' look, after lugging my ridiculously heavy bed around and moving some drawers and other bits and pieces I was pretty happy with the outcome... so this is just a little post about my new room layout and I will hopefully be back into my post writing next week :)

my goodies.
While I have been saving money and trying to not spend so much I have started to make a list at the beginning of each month of things that I need to buy, this way I knew exactly what I wanted to get so I wasn't browsing around shops and spending a fortune. It seems though, that each time I have been out shopping the products I wanted to buy haven't been there, so instead i have been substituting them with products that I think are kind of similar, because of this I have found some amazing new products and brands and thought that it would be good to review some of these on here :)

browsing not buying.
I have been trying to be really good this month and not spend my money, i've been so used to getting paid and then buying things that it has actually proved quite a challenge, however, I have managed to restrain myself and have only bought a couple of little bits and pieces! Even thought i'm not spending money, it doesn't mean that I haven't spent 90% of my time looking at items I want to buy and new products I want to try out so I have put together a little mini wishlist of things i've been looking at and lusting after lately.

jaceys clothing.
I have just received
my two-piece set that I ordered from Jaceys Clothing and I have
absolutely fallen in love with it! Jaceys Clothing is a Bristol based
company selling handmade clothing, the stock on their website is mainly a
selection of two-pieces and co-ords but they also sell some of the co-ord
pieces individually and stock some over-size tops and super cute scrunchies too!
I ordered the elephant two-piece as it appealed to me straight away and am
(hopefully) going to be ordering the paint print set very soon as well. The fit
is perfect and the material is thin and airy but also of really good quality, it’s
so comfy and a lot of their items are definitely versatile, they would look
great as a day look or could easily be dressed up for a cute evening look. Their
stock comes in a variety of different prints, all of which are gorgeous and
unique.

home inspirations and wishful thinking.
Me and my partner have just been approved for a mortgage
(yay!) and are currently in the fun process of looking for houses and thinking
about interior design (the fun bit before all the paperwork!) and when I say
‘we’ it’s basically me coming home every day and talking about what I want and
Jake going along with it.
I’ve been looking at a lot of websites and catalogues
trying to get some inspiration ready for when we find a place and think I’ve
kind of decided on what type of style I want to go for, I haven’t set anything
in stone as I know that if I get too hung up on a specific design I won’t be
happy unless I get it!

elsie belle jewellery.
Recently I have been spending a bit of time strolling around Bristols' markets and have come across a beautiful jewellery stand called 'Elsie Belle'! It was founded in 2004 by Liz Fennings and they sell handmade jewellery, charms and trinkets of all different shapes and sizes and definitely have a style that would suit anyone.
Elsie Belle jewellery has been featured in a number of fashion and lifestyle publications including Vogue,
Grazia, Look and Cosmopolitan and they have a range of celebrity fans too such as Holly Willoughby,
Fearne Cotton, Mary Portas, Alexandra Burke,
Pixie Lott and Dawn Porter! I have absolutely fallen in love with this stall and cannot stop buying jewellery from them at the moment, for me it's a lovely little treat to pick something up from there as a lot of the time when i'm in town I browse for hours but never actually find anything I want to buy. It's so disheartening coming back from a 5 hour shop with nothing to show for it but I always know I will find something at Elsie Belle to take home with me!

nike+ running app and cheap workout clothes.
After hearing a few people talking about this over the past couple of months i decided to download the Nike+ running app and am
pleasantly surprised at how good it is for a free app. There’s a variety of
things you can do on it, there’s your basic just ‘track my run’ which, if you enable
GPS, will track where you ran and analyse which areas you ran the fastest, how
long it took, calories burned and average minutes per mile, you can also give
feedback on how you felt after your run. This has been so useful to me because
I have felt like I’m making no progress but when you look at your averages on
your activity page you will realise that you are getting faster and more
consistent! There is a coach, challenges and a friend finder too.

makeup is my saviour.
As I’m new to this blogging stuff I thought I’d go for a
topic that a lot of people do in blogs: ‘what’s in my makeup bag’, because every girl has a secret passion for makeup. I’m going to
go through just the products that I use on a day-to-day basis, because if I did
all my makeup this post would go on for days! Unfortunately I am one of those people who needs a bit of foundation and mascara to look like a normal human so I do have a lot of enthusiasm when it comes to my makeup bag :)
First
I like to start with the ‘porefessional’ primer from Benefit beauty. I use a
lot of Benefit beauty products because I have found that they are a pretty
standard price, as far as makeup goes, but such good quality! The
‘porefessional’ primer is one of the softest primers I have ever used; it
literally feels like rubbing silk on your face it also has a very slight tint which
means it is brilliant to use to add a subtle bit of colour. I suffer with a bit
of dry skin but since using this product it has got a million times better and
means that all my other facial products settle really nicely on my skin.
